BookClub is an author-led, reader powered platform designed to connect authors to their community of readers through video and audio content.
Built with authors and readers in mind, BookClub was created to give authors a space to share more about their books with the people who love them the most - the readers. Through our library of content covering multiple genres, authors will be able to talk about their books over video or live audio, and readers will be able to listen to others discuss books or lead their own book discussions in private or public channels.
BookClub gives authors and readers a fresh and entertaining new way to have the book discussions they’ll love.

What type of interactions can I have with authors, moderators and readers on BookClub?

As a platform that prioritizes community, BookClub has developed several ways for you to connect with authors, moderators, and readers on BookClub.

Immerse yourself in video content from authors for readers, including discussions between authors and celebrity moderators, deep dives into the books from authors, and author videos answering discussion guide questions.

Host and attend book discussions with live audio. Authors and celebrity moderators can lead live audio conversations for anyone interested in their books or book clubs, and readers can start conversations around books (and even invite the author to join!).

Follow your favorite authors and fellow readers to receive updates when authors add new books or when those you follow start a live audio conversation. You will also be able to see what others are reading by selecting their profile. It might give you some great ideas for what to read next!

How do I get started on BookClub?

Getting started on BookClub is easy! Click ‘Join Now’ on the BookClub website to create a free account and profile. Once your profile is created, explore our Discover page where you can see the book clubs, books, and authors currently on our platform and watch trailers. Upgrade to a paid membership to access the full content with exclusive insights direct from the authors, and engage in conversation with other readers. We look forward to seeing you on BookClub!

I’m an author. How do I join BookClub?

BookClub is a new platform dedicated to supporting authors and finding unique ways for you to be in community with your readers. We do this by streamlining access to virtual book groups, promoting meaningful conversations, and developing tools to help you share rich content that takes readers deeper into your book. How can I recommend an author for BookClub?

We would love to hear which authors you would like to see on the platform! You can request a specific author to join simply by adding their book to your shelf, or navigating to that book’s details page and requesting to be notified when the author is available. Our list includes tens-of-thousands of titles, in addition to titles available through the Open Library API. Not seeing the author or book you’re interested in? Send us as a note at authors@bookclub.com. We also hope you’ll reach out to the author on social media, tagging them and us (@bookclubdotcom) to share how much you love BookClub and that you want them to join us for discussion!

BookClub is all about creating a space that builds up authors and gives readers the opportunity to learn from their favorite writers. As we build a thriving community for book lovers, we invite you to join us. Whether you are an individual who wants to participate in conversations about the books you are reading, a book club who wants to choose from our library for your next selection and then have your get togethers on BookClub, or an Independent Bookstore partner who wants to promote authors and books you love, your presence on BookClub will make the platform what it is. How do I become a BookClub Ambassador?

BookClub Ambassadors are avid readers who love to talk about books and want to lead conversations about the books highlighted by BookClub. BookClub Ambassadors are asked to read one book from the BookClub library each month and lead an hour of live audio conversation about the book and what they took away from it.
