Welcome to BookClub

When BookClub’s four co-founders had their first conversation about what an author-led platform might look like, it started with a simple fact —most of us learn more from books than any other source in our lifetime. Our founders knew that what they wanted most was a book platform that did for authors what no one else had done yet—connected them to more readers and more conversations about their books. 

Now just over a year later, BookClub has 40+ employees and we are thrilled to be in beta, which means that you—the authors, the readers, and the book lovers—can access what we have worked so hard to create. We are delighted you can finally see it! ‍

What is BookClub?

BookClub, at its core, is about conversation. We’ve designed a platform that’s built to provide readers with access to the things they love most— the authors who have written the books they’re reading, and a community of other readers who are reading along with them. Our platform aspires to be a home for all authors, where they can use exclusive video and audio content to share their experiences and have in-depth, life-changing conversations about their books and the topics they bring up for readers.

Whether you’re a fiction or non-fiction lover, and with new books and content being added every month, you’re bound to find something you love on BookClub. Our team has invested our time and talent in ensuring that there are diverse stories told by a range of authors so that any reader can see themselves on the platform. Creating a space where you can dive deeper into a story that you identify with is important to us.

Who is BookClub?

We are a team of storytellers from different backgrounds and cultures (you can learn more about our team here) who came together to build BookClub because we all share one major thing in common—a love for books. We are proud to have a team where women make up more than 50 percent of both our total team and our leadership team (meet the women of BookClub here). Whether you talk to our marketing, production, or product and engineering teams, you are speaking to people who have an innate desire to tell a good story. We designed BookClub to enable authors to tell their stories on our platform in new and exciting ways.

So, Why BookClub?‍

If you’re like us, then you truly love to read and you love to talk about what you’re reading. Maybe you’re an avid reader who reads as many books as possible, or a casual reader who turns pages when you can find the time. Maybe reading is new to you, or you’re trying to return to a love you had as a child. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, you are welcome here.

On BookClub you’ll find books you can talk about with your fellow readers. When you spend time watching our video content, you’ll get to see the books you’re reading through the author’s eyes, and it will bring a whole new meaning to the story. BookClub will help you dive into books in a brand new way, and we can’t wait to see what that does for you.
